Chuch Steeple Inspection
A drone is known as a UAV, which stands for unmanned aerial vehicle. They are used for various purposes but have gained a lot of popularity with photographers who use their cameras with their drones to create images with a bird’s-eye view. A drone camera can be very useful when a church spire needs an inspection because it can safely capture crystal-clear images which are very high up.
Why Should I Use One?
Firstly, drones are much safer than traditional scaffolding. If you have a person at height doing an inspection, there is always the risk that he or she could fall. A drone camera is remote-controlled so there isn’t anyone up at a height when the damage is inspected. With a dual camera drone like the one I utilize, we also spot problems of moisture under the shingles using the infrared camera.
Secondly, a drone can get images at angles that aren’t always possible with traditional photography. A drone will give you a complete bird’s-eye view. A person using scaffolding must depend on where he or she can get to using walking platforms, from which a clear shot might not be possible.
Finally, capturing drone images can be done quickly. If a fast repair is necessary, a drone inspection will only take around an hour to complete. During that time, you can inspect the footage from a live feed we provide in our vehicle.
Are Drones Affordable?
Yes. In fact, they can be much cheaper than traditional methods. For example, inspecting a church spire would traditionally require scaffolding all around the structure. A drone can capture everything without requiring a person to climb—possibly causing more damage. With drone visuals, you can limit the scaffolding only to where repairs are needed.
What Does Your Drone Service Include?
Our service includes capturing photographs and video, editing the imagery, and delivering the media promptly. We inspect the immediate area, notify nearby neighbors, and then launch the drone to capture images and 4K video of the church spire from multiple angles. The live feed is viewable in real time from our vehicle or provided to you or your insurer within a day. Follow-up inspections can also be scheduled after repairs are completed.
Are You Licensed and Insured?
Yes. We are licensed under FAA Part 107 laws and regulations and are fully insured. Our pilot in command holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and has a special appreciation for the importance of churches and their place in the state and nation.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
